LIFE AFTER HEELS

Elevated Comfort for How You Really Live

After Stilettos started as an idea—a domain purchased a year before I knew exactly what it would become. The concept was there: something for women who spent their days in stilettos and came home ready to kick them off. A place for that moment of relief, where comfort didn't mean compromise.

A fashion school assignment brought it to life. We were asked to build a brand from the ground up, and After Stilettos finally had its structure. Before that, the business was called The Accessory Barn—a different name, a different focus. But After Stilettos felt right. It captured something real: the shift between who we have to be during the day and who we actually are when we come home.

The Accessory Barn launched with sandals—thoughtfully designed footwear for women who wanted something better than what the market offered. But as my own journey deepened through formal training, the focus evolved. Fashion school led to traditional kimono making in Japan, French Couture Jacket construction in Italy, and immersive sewing retreats. The work shifted from selling sandals to exploring what it means to make clothing with intention, precision, and care.

WHAT LIFE AFTER HEELS MEAN NOW

Life After Heels still represents that same philosophy—choosing pieces that work with you, not against you. But now it's about the entire garment, the entire process. It's about understanding construction, fit, and comfort at a deeper level through the lens of traditional craft and formal training.

This isn't about trends or fast fashion. It's about craftsmanship, technique, and the quiet confidence that comes from understanding how garments are made—and why that matters for how they feel and perform in real life.

THE WORK

After Stilettos is now a space for exploring craft, construction, and the relationship between making and wearing. Through formal training at the Fashion Institute of Florida, traditional kimono making in Japan, and French Couture Jacket workshops in Italy, I've learned that comfort and quality aren't compromises—they're design decisions rooted in skill, patience, and respect for the craft.

The Journal documents this journey—from the classroom to the sewing table, from learning traditional techniques to understanding how formal training shapes the way I approach garments today.

FOR WOMEN WHO KNOW

This is still a place for women who spent their days in stilettos and came home ready to kick them off. But now it's also for women who want to understand why certain garments feel better, how construction affects comfort, and what it means to build a wardrobe rooted in intention rather than obligation.

Style evolves. Your wardrobe should evolve with it.
